Puchenau floodplain

The Puchenauer Au is a quiet local recreation area directly on the beautiful Danube. It runs from the district heating plant in the east of Puchenau to the western end of Gartenstadt II. Many citizens appreciate the great recreational value of this area and use the path for walking, running and Nordic walking or even swimming on hot summer days.

The Puchenauer Au is a natural alluvial forest and thus provides the necessary habitat for many plants and animals. But the floodplain is also invaluable to us humans as a source of shade and oxygen.
